DESCRIPTION


The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive hospital value strategy service, primarily focused on developing a value-based roadmap for Medi-Cal hospital service reimbursement in California. This includes generating an actionable implementation roadmap, proposing necessary system changes, and establishing monitoring mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement in value-based care outcomes.

Responsibilities involve crafting tailored strategies to achieve the defined goals, maintaining a detailed project work plan that outlines timelines, key milestones, staffing, risk mitigation, and ensures regular reporting to stakeholders. The vendor will coordinate both scheduled and ad hoc meetings across decision-making levels, preparing supporting documents such as agendas, presentations, issue briefs, and talking points as needed.

Additionally, the vendor will perform comprehensive financial, regulatory, clinical, and policy research and analysis to evaluate various hospital payment models, offering recommendations for integration into the Hospital Value Strategy. The resulting concept paper will articulate a strategic framework, expand on guiding principles, and identify pivotal focus areas to accelerate progress toward value-based care.
