State Of Wisconsin Department Of Workforce Development
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
A government authority in Wisconsin is seeking a vendor to provide services for the development and implementation of a hospital health fee schedule. The primary objectives include promoting predictability and transparency in hospital reimbursement, ensuring fair payments for medical services rendered to injured employees, and supporting cost stability and administrative efficiency within the worker's compensation (WC) system.
Vendors should present operational and planning strategies that reflect industry best practices for hospital fee schedules and worker's compensation. This includes identifying methodologies and reimbursement models suitable for both inpatient and outpatient hospital services, and evaluating percentile-based methodologies for threshold calculation and application. The project involves dividing the state into five regions based on geographic and economic similarity, and selecting appropriate data sources for percentile calculations, with detailed consideration of dataset composition, timeframes, and inclusion or exclusion criteria.
Vendors are expected to address translation of percentiles into reimbursement rates, documenting methodology, data sources, and calculation processes. Deliverables include a structured fee schedule dataset by region, hospital, item, or service, and a repeatable, sustainable process for annual updates. Recommended output formats should be provided (Excel, CSV, database, or system-based solutions). The contract duration is one year. All questions related to this RFI must be submitted by May 6, 2026.
