DESCRIPTION

A school district in Washington seeks a vendor to provide a highly capable student assessment tool focused on equitable access for all students. The assessment solution must minimize language and cultural content while reducing reliance on prior knowledge to support identification of multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and historically marginalized groups. The desired tool will serve as a universal screening system for all first-grade students and must include general ability, quantitative, and verbal components. It should be computer-based, scored automatically, and produce family reports with both local and national norms, as well as individual domain results.

The assessment must fully integrate with the district’s reporting and instructional data systems, support secure data transfer for rosters, scores, and outputs, and generate detailed computerized reports for educators, administrators, and district staff. The selected vendor is also responsible for providing real-time technical support during testing periods, with a help desk or dedicated contact for immediate issues. The overarching goal is to create a more equitable, culturally responsive, and linguistically accessible system for identifying highly capable students across the district. The contract will span three years.
