DESCRIPTION


The selected vendor will provide comprehensive health insurance management and administrative services to a government authority in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Responsibilities include delivering a full range of benefit program services, covering the acquisition, implementation, maintenance, communication, and ongoing improvement of employee health insurance benefits. The vendor will be expected to present plan design options, various carriers, and supplemental offerings for group consideration.

The role includes central benefits administration, consulting, technical assistance, legislative and regulatory compliance support, as well as serving as a liaison and providing problem resolution. Additional tasks involve preparing monthly premium and trust fund contribution bills for each governmental unit based on membership records, administering COBRA (including offering, tracking, and payment collection in compliance with all laws), and reconciling monthly health plan and vendor bills. The vendor will also monitor market trends, propose innovative solutions, assist in strategy execution, develop goals, analyze program costs, review funding arrangements, and participate in ongoing benefit improvement processes.
