DESCRIPTION
A government authority located in Williamstown, New Jersey, is seeking to engage a qualified vendor to provide health insurance brokerage services for a one-year contract. The selected firm will support and manage the budget planning process, including reviewing and assessing the impact of anticipated rate changes. The vendor will be responsible for supplying preliminary renewal figures to the central administration during the budgeting cycle and negotiating the annual renewal of existing health insurance coverage.
Duties include preparing all necessary bid specifications if the coverage is marketed, evaluating submitted bids, and assisting the district with employee grievances related to health benefits issues. The broker is expected to keep the district informed with updates and regulatory bulletins regarding legislative and regulatory changes affecting the board of education. The firm should also be available to attend board of education meetings, committee sessions, and budget or negotiation meetings as required.
