DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking a vendor to provide health benefits consulting services for a self-insured health benefit plan. The scope includes compliance and regulatory support, offering advice and assistance to ensure adherence to federal and state laws, conducting annual compliance audits, and providing gap analysis reports with actionable recommendations.

The consultant will assist in vendor oversight and performance management, lead performance management initiatives, and provide procurement support such as preparing bid specifications, assisting in proposal solicitation, and evaluating proposals from third-party administrators and other vendors. Technical expertise is required for medical and pharmacy benefit evaluation.

Additional responsibilities include preparing special reports on topics of interest, conducting trend analysis, utilization studies, and impact modeling of legislative or regulatory changes.
