SUMMARY

GSA seeks information from qualified contractors for IDIQ construction and repair services for federal buildings in six western states, to inform a future procurement.

DESCRIPTION

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice to identify companies capable of providing construction services for repair and alteration of federal buildings across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. This preliminary announcement seeks information from businesses with relevant experience as a general contractor handling small project repairs and alterations involving both interior and exterior work on federal buildings. Work may include design, demolition, abatement, carpentry, drywall, insulation, doors, finishes, paint, bathroom fixtures, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire/life/safety equipment, security equipment, fencing, windows, and outdoor lighting.

The anticipated projects will mainly occur at federally owned facilities, although task orders may sometimes involve leased facilities. Contractors may be required to provide value-added services such as service recommendations and coordination with third parties. The government is considering awarding one or more Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to support these efforts, which will incorporate both commercial and non-commercial contracting approaches. Approximately half of the task orders are expected to be design-build procurements, necessitating both construction and design capabilities from contractors. All services must comply with GSA's Core Building Standards as well as all applicable industry codes and standards. This announcement does not include stand-alone architect-engineer or construction management services. Interested parties are encouraged to submit the required questionnaire by May 12, 2026, at 4:00pm CST.
