The city is seeking a vendor to administer its Green Business Program, aiming to promote energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, adoption of green building materials, and sustainable local purchasing among the business community. Program administration responsibilities include recruiting businesses through various outreach activities such as calling, emailing, tabling at events, creating flyers, social media marketing, and promoting statewide green business challenges and meetings with agencies and community stakeholders.
The selected vendor will assist businesses in obtaining certifications by connecting them to local resources, providing tailored guidance, and supporting them through the certification process. Duties also include recruiting and training strategic partners, supporting the city’s green business committee, and offering city staff ongoing program tracking access. The vendor will also manage, track, and promote city-sponsored rebates for businesses that complete certification, and train city staff and partners interested in conducting green business certification activities.
