DESCRIPTION


The government authority in California is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive design and construction services for a grade crossing improvements project. The scope of work includes preparing detailed systems drawings, customized software, testing procedures, and managing the railroad systems cutover. Contractors will be responsible for creating and finalizing systems technical specifications, including combining Jennings Avenue technical specifications, staging plans for cutover, grade crossing approach and circuit plans, Enhanced Automatic Train Control System (E-ATC) Control Line Diagrams, bills of material, and both vital and non-vital software. Detailed documentation such as test plans, procedures, and forms is required.

The systems scope entails the design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of new signal and communication systems. Civil work involves constructing pathways and crossings, adjusting utilities, installing fencing, implementing erosion and traffic control measures, improving drainage, signage, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and handrails. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026 and all questions must be submitted by June 3, 2026.
