A government authority in Penal, Arizona is seeking a qualified vendor to provide geotechnical engineering services for a variety of public works, transportation, and infrastructure projects. The selected firm will be responsible for the planning, study, and analysis of soils, rock, and other relevant materials to support the design and evaluation of these projects.
Key services include conducting site investigations, subsurface exploration, and soil sampling; evaluating soil, rock, and groundwater conditions; and performing laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. The scope also involves reviewing grading and earthwork plans for geotechnical compliance, assessing existing geotechnical reports and studies, and preparing comprehensive reports or memorandums with recommendations.
Deliverables may address foundation design (both shallow and deep), pavement subgrade and mitigation of expansive soils, slope stability and embankment design, retaining structures, settlement and bearing capacity analyses, groundwater control and drainage, and construction support services such as field density testing and compaction control. The contract period is for one year.
