The City of Encinitas, California seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive geotechnical engineering review services. The selected consultant will attend in-person meetings as requested by the city and offer support at public meetings on development-related geotechnical and bluff-related matters. Responsibilities include onsite geotechnical observation and inspection of land development project construction as directed by the city.
The vendor will consult with and advise land development and capital improvement projects staff on an ongoing basis. Duties also include evaluating and making recommendations for all storm, soil, and geology-related failures and emergencies, including those involving coastal and inland bluffs. The consultant must be available for on-call engineering and geotechnical support after hours for emergencies, and will advise the city on projects, complaints, and construction activities related to inland and coastal bluffs.
The initial contract period will be for one year. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted no later than May 19, 2026.
