DESCRIPTION


The City of Malibu is seeking a qualified vendor to provide peer review services in the areas of geotechnical engineering, coastal engineering, and environmental health. The selected provider will be responsible for reviewing technical reports and development plans, issuing recommendations on their acceptability, and offering detailed comments to ensure compliance with municipal requirements.

Duties include review of foundation and grading plans, conducting field observation during grading and other geotechnical phases of construction, and supporting city staff in processing excavation permits for geotechnical consultants. The vendor will also participate in peer review processes to verify geotechnical adequacy and code compliance, as well as support complex project evaluations.

Additional tasks involve monitoring, maintenance, data analysis, database administration, capital improvements, and regulatory compliance reporting. The scope may further include providing services for annual public hearings, emergency response, and overall project administration to support environmental health initiatives within Malibu.
