The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Acquisition & Grants Office, Eastern Acquisition Division–Norfolk, National Ocean Service (NOS) National Geodetic Survey (NGS), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with GeoCue Group, Inc. of Madison, Alabama for the renewal of GeoCue software. GeoCue Group, Inc. is the exclusive provider and manufacturer of the proprietary GeoCue software, licenses, and maintenance services.
GeoCue software is integral to NOAA's ability to manage workflows involving large LIDAR data sets for visualization, editing, and analysis, including LIDAR strip and calibration error adjustments. The software is fully integrated into NOS/NGS’s LIDAR processing workflow for quality control and processing of coastal mapping data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Not renewing these licenses would significantly impede NOAA’s critical mission requirements, affecting data review and distribution processes.
No authorized partners or resellers can provide these licenses or maintenance services. Interested firms that believe they can fulfill these requirements may submit substantiating documentation or request further information in writing within 15 days of publication; such submissions will be considered solely to determine potential for a competitive procurement.
