The government authority located in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking proposals for a General Construction Job Order Contracting (JOC) service. The selected contractor will provide comprehensive construction services for the rehabilitation, replacement, and repair of equipment, structures, pipelines, instrumentation, and site work at the agency’s water facilities. Work will include the installation and replacement of mechanical systems such as pumps, chemical feed equipment, mixers, valves, and actuators.
Responsibilities also involve installing instrumentation and electrical equipment, including analyzers, meters, sensors, variable frequency drives, and SCADA system components, along with associated conduit and wiring. Contractors must also have the capability to install, replace, and program RTUs, PLCs, and control instrumentation for facilities in line with the agency’s division control strategies. Additional services required are the installation and replacement of duct-banks, conduits, wiring, fiber optic cabling for electrical, security, and control improvements.
General construction tasks may include building modifications, painting, concrete and masonry work, structural steel assignments, and specialized maintenance. Site work such as excavation, earthwork, grading, drainage, utilities, road access, and paving is also part of the contract, as well as the installation, rehabilitation, repair, and replacement of water pipelines and pumps. Emergency repair services and both pre-construction and post-construction services are included. The contract is anticipated to extend over a period of three years.
