DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a vendor to conduct a comprehensive gambling prevalence study. The scope of work involves performing a state-wide survey to provide statistically valid estimates on the prevalence of gambling, problem gambling, and related behaviors, knowledge, and perceptions among the population.

The selected vendor will design and implement survey questions addressing the frequency, severity, and duration of gambling activities; the types and locations of gambling; and factors influencing gambling behaviors and expenditures. The study will also explore gambling awareness, such as age at first participation, friends and family involvement, perceptions of gambling’s community impact and harms, occupational exposure, and awareness of co-occurring risks. A recruitment strategy must be developed to reach at least 5,000 participants (with a preferred sample size of 7,500). Additionally, the vendor should provide a dedicated phone number and email to address participant inquiries. The contract will span one year.
