The selected solution must feature robust, standards-aligned scoring capabilities for constructed response and writing prompt items. The platform should incorporate automated or AI-supported scoring technologies that uphold the rigor, reliability, and validity standards set by high-stakes, standardized assessments. It is essential that the scoring engine is trained on grade-level standards, utilizes agency-approved rubrics, and meets benchmark performance expectations, while ensuring bias mitigation in line with human-scored environments. Transparent scoring criteria with detailed, trait-level feedback, and options for human review and override are required for effective quality assurance.

Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for delivering a customized professional development plan, which includes training timelines for agency principals, technical onboarding, online, job-embedded resources, and accessible support channels. The system must ensure testing security, support for special populations, and provide user-friendly, secure online reporting designed to enhance classroom instruction.
