A higher education institution in New York is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive and flexible Faculty Information System (FIS). The system will manage all aspects of faculty data, including tracking teaching, research, scholarship, clinical activities, and community engagement. The solution should support reporting and analytics with customizable tools to monitor data in real-time or at specific intervals, and include automated communication functionalities.
Integration capabilities are essential, as the FIS must interface seamlessly with human resources, payroll, accreditation, learning and student management, research, and grant management systems, along with other internal and manual data sources. The system should enhance workflow efficiencies for faculty appointments, reappointments, promotions, and tenure reviews. Additional requirements include linking faculty activities to clinical practice solutions, utilizing annual agreements as digital data sources, determining workforce needs, and automating data integration from internal and external databases to support comprehensive research impact reporting.
The FIS must also support annual faculty reviews for all teaching staff, including voluntary and regional campus faculty, and be capable of efficiently displaying external faculty portfolios on institutional web pages. The awarded contract will span five years.
