DESCRIPTION
The government authority in California is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive financial auditing services. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting a financial audit of the district’s basic financial statements in accordance with established auditing standards. This process will include auditing the general-purpose financial statements as well as all related supporting documentation and schedules.
Additionally, the vendor will assist the district in correspondence related to audit matters and present findings at meetings as required. The scope of work also includes preparing a separate management letter that discloses both material and non-material weaknesses in internal control, any discovered violations of finance-related legal and contractual provisions, and providing auditor recommendations for improvements in financial and program management.
