Financial Audit Service

A government authority in Jefferson City, Missouri is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive financial audit services. The scope includes examining the financial statements of all state agency accounts, as well as accounts and expenditures by other state agencies receiving appropriations from the primary agency, ensuring a complete audit. The selected contractor will review a random sample of monthly tax reports submitted by fuel suppliers and distributors, and also analyze reconciliations performed by the Department of Revenue, comparing agency revenues with reported fuel volumes.

Additionally, the audit will involve reviewing agency-related records maintained by the Department of Natural Resources. The contractor is expected to identify and report any significant deficiencies in the internal control structure that could negatively impact the agency’s ability to accurately record, process, summarize, and report financial data. The contract will have a one-year duration.
