Dekalb County
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Decatur, Georgia seeks a vendor to provide field verification and reporting services for public and private utility service lines. The scope includes conducting meter pit inspections to identify and record the materials of both utility-owned and customer-owned service lines. Visual identification of service line materials is required on both sides of the meter, with documentation entered into Cityworks.
If service line material cannot be visually observed within the meter pit, contractors must fully document the condition according to county standards, and the county may accept the inspection as 'unable to observe.' The project also includes potholing when authorized by the county, with verified materials recorded accordingly.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 22, 2026, and all questions must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
