DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Alberta is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) telecommunications network services. The selected provider will be responsible for acquiring, owning, maintaining, operating, and delivering services via a FTTH network capable of high-speed Gigabit or greater service to end users.

The scope of work includes the full turnover to operations at both retail and wholesale levels. This encompasses the implementation of billing systems, maintenance of a 24/7 network operations center (NOC) for continuous monitoring and network support, and all aspects of physical network maintenance. The successful vendor will make all necessary technical and business arrangements to ensure uninterrupted service to existing customers and guarantee service continuity throughout the contract term.

In addition, the vendor will be responsible for procuring all necessary inputs to operate and expand the network, including but not limited to fibre, conduit, network and customer premises equipment (CPE), as well as securing upstream transport capacity and other required operational assets.
