DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Palo Alto, California, is seeking a contractor to provide fiber utility trench and substructure installation services. The selected contractor will be responsible for supplying all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, manufactured articles, transportation, and services.

Work includes trenching, boring, excavation, installation of conduits and substructures, backfilling, paving, and all required surface restoration for new electric services, system modifications, and other authorized services. Individual projects will be assigned for trenching, boring, and the installation of conduits and boxes, primarily for electric utility customer services, small extensions, replacements to existing underground systems, and placement of communications, street light, traffic signal, and fiber optic conduits and foundations.

Each job will be detailed with a written description and job sketch provided by the Project Manager or their designee. Questions related to this RFP must be submitted by April 17, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2026.
