Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Christi, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide fiber re-route services. The scope of work includes modifications to underground pathways, fiber optic cable installation, splicing, testing, and full project documentation. Specific requirements involve locating and intercepting the existing conduit, cutting and rerouting it into a contractor-installed in-ground junction box at the fence line, and installing approximately 90 linear feet of conduit from the new termination box to an existing in-ground box near a light pole. Jet line installation in all new raceways is also required, with all work to be performed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday).
For the fiber optic cable installation, the vendor must furnish and install a single OS2 single-mode 24-strand fiber optic cable from the SSMC Building to a designated in-ground box, utilizing existing pathways where possible while maintaining proper routing. Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for installing a preformed splice enclosure within the in-ground box and splicing the existing fiber to the new cable. The contract period for these services will be one year.
