A government authority in Waynesboro, Georgia, seeks a vendor to provide fiber optic materials services for the expansion of its county-wide broadband network. The project includes building a fiber-based 100/10 Gbps broadband network, offering at least symmetrical 100 Mbps Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) connections. Required fiber specifications include G.652.D single mode OS2 fiber, operable at wavelengths of 1310, 1383, and 1550 nm.
This initiative is a major component of the county's Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program participation. The sought vendor will be responsible for supplying fiber optic cable and handholes necessary for a multi-year county FTTP deployment. Vendors are expected to provide pricing information for all requested materials. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by May 1, 2026.
