Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in New York is seeking a qualified vendor to provide fiber optic extension services. The scope of work includes conducting field verification surveys and constructability reviews, confirming routes and quantities, and identifying conflicts with associated risk mitigation measures. Vendors are responsible for detailed engineering and design services, including outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) documentation, as well as the development of construction drawings, splicing and termination plans, and traffic control and restoration plans as required.
The selected firm will coordinate with utility providers and manage the pole attachment process, including make-ready tracking and scheduling, and support right-of-way and road occupancy permitting for underground cable segments. Construction activities will include installation of aerial infrastructure, underground conduits and handholes, and secure building entrances at both endpoints. The vendor must supply and install 48-strand single-mode fiber optic cable with appropriate cable structure, perform all necessary splicing and termination using LC connectors, and conduct end-to-end testing (including OTDR), providing complete test reports.
An optional site visit is scheduled for March 25, 2026. All questions related to the RFP must be submitted by March 31, 2026. The resulting contract will be for a period of one year.
