DESCRIPTION

A government or utility agency in New York is seeking a vendor to implement a cloud-based Fiber Management Software (FMS) system under a three-year contract. The chosen vendor must provide a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool designed to address the agency’s technical and functional requirements, including implementation, data conversion services, and user training.

The FMS must support comprehensive fiber documentation and inventory management, integrate with GIS and network mapping tools, and offer advanced features such as fault detection with OTDR support, workflow and change management, capacity planning, and integration with external systems. Additional requirements include robust security and access controls, mobile and field support, detailed reporting and analytics, system scalability, cloud support, AI-driven predictive maintenance, compliance with relevant standards, and an intuitive user experience. The successful vendor should have experience serving medium-sized government or utility entities and demonstrate a track record of effective SaaS solutions in fiber infrastructure management.
