Genesee County
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Flint, Michigan is seeking proposals for fiber broadband initiative services aimed at enhancing countywide connectivity. The selected vendor will be responsible for developing preliminary countywide fiber routing and phasing concepts, conducting an inventory of Community Anchor Institutions, and incorporating results from the NextGenesee Resident Survey. The initiative includes the identification of underserved and economically disadvantaged areas and the completion and refinement of an underground fiber–optic network design on a countywide scale.
The proposed network will use fiber as the primary infrastructure, leverage county-provided routing and GIS data, and support scalable speeds to meet long-term demand. Respondents are required to build upon existing data while supplying a robust and adaptable network design. The contract will cover a three-year period, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled for March 30, 2026. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by March 31, 2026.
