DESCRIPTION

The government authority in California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive operations and management services for a year-round farmers’ market. The selected vendor will be responsible for operating the market every Monday morning from 9am to 2pm, regardless of weather conditions, except for specified holidays. Responsibilities include overseeing daily market functions, remaining on site during market hours to ensure safety and compliance with all certified farmers’ market regulations, and providing the city with an accessible cell phone contact for the on-site manager during operational hours.

The vendor must supply the city with annual and bi-annual documentation for all required permits from local, county, or state health and safety agencies to ensure compliant operation. Additional duties include managing vendor relations by recruiting and maintaining a strong vendor base through community outreach and networking, enforcing vendor compliance with all applicable regulations, and preparing quarterly reports detailing market attendance, sales, and revenue. The contract will span a three-year period, and a mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 16, 2026.
