DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Michigan is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive family assistance program services focused on supporting at-risk families. The program involves modeling, demonstrations, and supervision in areas such as child nurturing, home management, nutrition, and general family support. Additional responsibilities include providing transportation, attending hearings and medical appointments, leveraging community resources, and promoting Infant Safe Sleep practices.

These services are designed to minimize the risks of child abuse, neglect, and unnecessary foster care placement by addressing the needs of families with active Children’s Protective Services (CPS) investigations or open cases. The program supports placement prevention services for parents and primary caregivers and includes involvement in foster care or delinquency cases. Vendors will also facilitate supervised parenting time visitation for children placed outside the home with reunification goals.

Other duties include helping clients improve home safety, such as proper storage of chemicals and household security, enhancing financial management skills through cost-effective shopping and bill payment planning, and assisting in obtaining and maintaining adequate housing.
