The government authority in Wichita Falls, Texas is seeking a construction manager at risk to oversee and execute the falls renovation project. The scope encompasses upgrades and improvements to the manmade waterfall, landscaping, and surrounding trail.
Key elements include demolition of rock veneer and selective removal of dry-stack rock, replacement of the metal intake well and screen, and installation of new high-capacity pumps (3,600 gpm, 100–HP main pump and 50–HP recirculation pump) with associated piping, valves, and controls. Additional work involves replacement of two pump manhole lids with fixed concrete tops, widening approximately 1,050 linear feet of concrete trail, constructing a new 140-linear foot by 10-foot high retaining wall with rock veneer, landscaping and irrigation enhancements, and upgrading area lighting to LED fixtures for both area and pathway illumination.
