The Town Of Granby
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Granby, Connecticut, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide exterior restoration services concentrated on the clerestory window areas of a historic building. The scope involves the careful removal of all loose and flaking paint and sealant from wood siding (clapboard and shingles) and trim without damaging the historic materials.
Vendors must apply sealant to all joints and gaps—including wood-to-wood, wood-to-metal, wood-to-masonry, and wood-to-window connections. The project requires replacement of all damaged, deteriorated, or missing wood elements with material matching the original in appearance and, if possible, species. Surfaces must be properly prepared, primed, and finished with two coats of paint in a color specified by a finish analysis. All restoration should maintain historical integrity while ensuring long-term preservation.
