The government authority in Chicago, Illinois seeks a vendor to deliver exploration and employment preparation program services for young adults aged 18–24. The initiative focuses on offering pre-apprenticeship services, educational support, occupational skills training, leadership development, and high-quality post-program placement opportunities. Vendors must provide responsive, empathetic, trauma-informed support for individuals facing significant employment challenges and housing instability.
The ideal program will have a robust workforce development infrastructure, successful experience with job readiness training, paid work-based learning, direct employer connections, and the integration of industry-aligned training, recognized credentials, supportive services, mentorship, and employer-connected experiential learning. The goal is to help youth and young adults with complex and interconnected barriers build increased work readiness, obtain credentials, improve employment-related skills, and develop stronger engagement with supportive networks. The contract period is one year.
