SUMMARY

The agency is seeking information from vendors about a weight-based, real-time inventory management system with advanced reporting and user management for medical supplies tracking.

DESCRIPTION

This RFI seeks vendors to provide an excellence system featuring a weight-based inventory management solution. The system must produce accurate, real-time readings of quantities on hand, accessible via a software application. It should offer comprehensive data mining capabilities, including monitoring current stock levels, setting recommended order points, tracking average usage per item, and the ability to trace medical supply usage per patient.

The inventory management solution must generate reports in Excel or text-delimited formats using commonly available software like MS Word or Excel. The weight-based mechanism should be easily calibrated and deliver precise results, offering full visibility into secondary inventory locations. The solution must manage, adjust, and report real-time information on inventory at these secondary locations. Additionally, depletion of stock should automatically trigger distribution or pick tickets based on PAR levels, reorder points, or emergency stock thresholds.

The software must be intuitive and easy to train on, support multiple users with various permission levels, and generate relevant reports that align with agency principles of inventory management.
