An experienced event producer is sought to plan, coordinate, and deliver a strategic event in 2026 in British Columbia. The objective is to create a safer, well-organized, and strategic event that aligns with updated organizational goals and incorporates feedback from the 2025 wrap report. The event producer will oversee all aspects of the event, including comprehensive planning, guest experience, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability. Strong collaboration with farmers, vendors, and relevant regulatory bodies is essential.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing the full event plan, production timeline, staffing strategy, and budget. The selected provider will handle advance roadway signage, create mapped vehicle-assigned signage plans, and implement a robust signage system to guide attendees, including clear directions between farms. The role also requires the integration of waivers into ticket purchases, management of scanning and guest check-in logistics, and oversight of setup and takedown operations.
Additional duties involve recruiting and managing staff and volunteers, initiating sponsorship outreach in March with support from the event committee, and supporting optional lead-in programming for visiting cyclists. The event producer will coordinate the development of digital tools like a microsite, app, newcomer guide, and QR systems, while ensuring consistent messaging to all stakeholders. Storytelling support through sharing farm and vendor details is also an essential component of this engagement.
