A California agency is seeking a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) evacuation management and mapping software platform to enhance emergency coordination and public safety. The selected solution will act as a centralized platform for coordinating and communicating between the agency, cooperating emergency responders, and the public during evacuation events. The primary objectives are to improve situational awareness, streamline response times, and support better public safety outcomes.
Desired features of the software include user-friendly GIS mapping capabilities, integration of real-time data feeds such as weather, traffic, and topography, and comprehensive tools for real-time collaboration among emergency responders. Additional requirements include automated alerting and real-time communication with the public, mobile and desktop access for use in the field or at command centers, and high scalability to accommodate large numbers of public users. The solution must be secure, compliant with applicable state and federal standards, and enable integration of evacuation zones into a shared public safety application accessible by all relevant agencies within the operational area and surrounding counties.
The contract for this engagement will span five years.
