DESCRIPTION

A government authority in South Ozone Park, New York seeks a vendor to provide escheatment services to support unclaimed property compliance. The selected vendor will analyze client-provided data to identify property due and reportable to the appropriate jurisdictions and format this data for unclaimed property reporting as needed.

The scope includes preparing one set of annual consolidated unclaimed property reports for all U.S. states and jurisdictions where the client holds escheatable property, during applicable reporting cycles. Reports must contain details such as NYRA account number, unclaimed property amount, account holder name, last transaction date, account holder address, and the reporting state. Consolidated negative reports are also required for jurisdictions mandating negative reporting. Vendors should be capable of generating reports from multiple import files created using a data import template and supporting approximately 2,000–4,000 transactions for fall filings and 500–1,000 transactions for spring/summer filings, spanning about 35 jurisdictions.

The contractor is also responsible for printing and mailing standard due diligence letters to account holders and tracking their responses on behalf of the client. The initial contract period will be one year.
