DESCRIPTION


The government authority in New Smyrna Beach, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive environmental services focusing on waterways, canals, and stormwater management infrastructure. The scope of work includes mechanical and hydraulic dredging, shoreline restoration, sediment transport and disposal, outfall maintenance, and the removal of aquatic vegetation and debris. Additionally, these services will ensure maintenance of flow and water quality in compliance with relevant environmental standards.

The contractor will be responsible for dredging and sediment removal, as well as aquatic vegetation control for city-owned canals, stormwater, and retention ponds. The dredged material is unclassified and may include silts, sand, clay, muck, rock, various debris, and potentially toxic chemicals. Services also include mowing or mulching, reshaping, and removal of undesirable materials to allow for unobstructed water flow, bank stabilization, and cleaning pipes up to twenty feet to remove all obstructions that impede stormwater flow.

All vendor questions must be submitted by April 21, 2026. The resulting contract will be for a three-year term.
