An agency in Alberta is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to support a wide range of municipal functions. The new system must fully support finance processes including core financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipting, and Bank Reconciliation), property tax billing, utility billing, purchasing and approvals, budgeting and forecasting, and, optionally, fixed assets management with asset retirement obligations.
Key objectives include streamlining and modernizing the budgeting process, providing citizen self-service features to improve transparency and access, and increasing overall staff efficiency through integrated tools and reduced manual processes. The ERP solution must support enhanced reporting, internal workflow improvements, and facilitate interoperability and integrations between municipal departments.
Technical requirements include cloud architecture and hosting, robust security and privacy measures, identity and access management, data protection, backup and disaster recovery capabilities, and support for third-party integrations. The contract for this implementation will be for a one-year period, and vendors are required to submit any questions by January 23, 2026.
