Enterprise Institutional Analytics and Data Platform

A higher education institution seeks a comprehensive, enterprise-wide data platform to support Institutional Effectiveness, analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making across the College. The platform must facilitate seamless integration of institutional data from academic, student, enrollment, finance, human resources, and effectiveness domains, expanding access to trusted and actionable insights campus-wide.

The required solution should function as a data warehouse or lake house, supporting governed analytics, metadata management, data dictionary, lineage visibility, and robust data governance workflows such as stewardship and metric change control. Vendors should also support the migration and modernization of existing reports and dashboards from legacy systems including Cognos, Apex, Excel, Power BI, and others, enabling their rationalization or recreation within the new platform and/or Power BI with governed datasets.

Key features include web-based analytical workspaces for non-technical users, with advanced filtering, comparison, and drill-down capabilities—without the need for SQL or scripting. The solution must enable drill-downs from institutional metrics to detailed program, course, and student-level data, subject to role-based access controls, and allow saving, sharing, and exporting of data products (reports, dashboards). Integration with Ellucian Banner HR is required for workforce and staffing analysis, with secure, role-based management of sensitive HR data.
