DESCRIPTION

This RFI seeks a vendor to provide an enterprise data governance platform capable of supporting comprehensive data cataloging, automated metadata discovery and harvesting, business glossary creation, and domain-driven metadata stewardship. The platform should enable robust data quality profiling, ongoing monitoring, alerting, issue management, and remediation workflows. Further requirements include data lineage and impact analysis down to the column level, policy management, sensitive data classification, access request and approval workflows, and integrated enforcement capabilities.

The solution must offer role-based dashboards and reporting tailored to executives, technical administrators, and non-technical data stewards, and incorporate AI tools for enhanced data discovery and compliance. Options to address enforcement of data governance across reporting and rectifying data overlap or non-compliance at all organizational levels are also requested. The platform must operate in a hybrid data environment that spans on-premises and cloud platforms, specifically including Microsoft Azure, SAP (on Oracle), and PeopleSoft (on Oracle), and address enterprise resource and line-of-business systems.

Data is distributed among various departments and systems, presenting opportunities for improved alignment of definitions and strengthening authoritative sources within the organization. Vendors must also demonstrate the solution's capacity to track data ownership at different levels in a cascading or waterfall approach.
