The government authority in Boca Raton, Florida is seeking engineering services for the design of treatment systems to reduce or remove PFAS and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The scope includes rehabilitation and replacement of existing treatment processes, tanks, basins, wet wells, pumps, piping, and ancillary systems, along with modifications to current plant systems and structures.
Construction of new structures, covering all necessary plumbing and mechanical elements, is required. The project also involves significant upgrades and modifications to electrical systems, including installation of new duct banks, medium voltage load centres, transformers, motor control centres, and switchgear. Engineering support is needed for improvements to yard piping, upgrades to coating and painting systems, as well as modifications to instrumentation and controls interfacing with the city's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
