DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Redding, California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive engineering services related to a proposed sanitary landfill project. The selected firm will participate in a kick-off meeting with county staff to define project objectives and requirements.

The scope includes conducting a detailed feasibility study with a cost–benefit analysis of at least four alternatives for the site’s Phase III development. Options to be evaluated are: the site location as shown in the 1980 Final Environmental Impact Report, relocation to an adjacent valley, use of fill from the ridge between valleys to expand the site, and construction of a waste-to-energy facility. The vendor will prepare all necessary studies to support this analysis, including but not limited to biological resource screenings and geotechnical reports.

A site visit is scheduled for March 31, 2026, and all questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by April 10, 2026. The anticipated contract period is three years.
