DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Hayward, California is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive engineering services for a project involving general project management that is not tied to a specific task. Responsibilities include tracking and reporting project budgets as well as submitting monthly status reports detailing budget, schedule, and work progress with every invoice.

The consultant is required to investigate existing utilities by engaging utility owners, reviewing available documentation, and noting surface indicators. A topographical survey of surface conditions is to be conducted at each segment location, identifying features potentially impacted by construction. The scope also involves recommending and evaluating locations for geotechnical field assessments, performing exploratory borings, and conducting spot testing for soil corrosivity to determine cathodic protection needs.

Additional duties include obtaining necessary permits, restoring sites to their original condition post-evaluation, and performing laboratory tests to assess the index and engineering properties of site soils. The consultant will prepare a comprehensive report characterizing subsurface conditions for a new pipeline based on field and laboratory findings.
