Engineering Services

The government authority in Delta, Colorado is seeking qualified providers for engineering services to support public works, infrastructure projects, and comprehensive project management. The selected vendor will assist in all facets of engineering related to infrastructure development, including maintenance, field evaluations, construction oversight, and ensuring compliance with city standards.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Public Works department on traffic analysis, construction design, cost estimating, construction management, standards development, long-term asset planning, budgeting, and thorough cost analysis. The vendor will also be responsible for comprehensive engineering reviews of construction plans, subdivisions, water resources, floodplain management, and drainage projects, ensuring all work aligns with city codes and regulations.

Additional duties entail assistance with asset tracking for municipal infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and utility systems, quality control assessments, and investigation of public complaints related to drainage, paving, and traffic. The provider is also expected to manage grants for public works engineering projects, work closely with city staff and funding agencies to develop successful grant applications, and provide project management, engineering design, and construction observation throughout public works construction projects.
