The City of Pleasanton, CA seeks a qualified firm to provide engineering design services focused on accessibility self-evaluation and transition planning. The selected consultant will conduct a comprehensive site and program accessibility self-evaluation, forming the foundation for identifying, prioritizing, budgeting, and implementing improvement plans to ensure compliance with California Access Codes.
As part of the scope, the chosen firm will assess the current level of program accessibility, including eligibility and participation requirements, the accessibility of facilities, staffing considerations, available transportation, communication methods, grievance procedures, and emergency protocols. Field surveys will be conducted at City-operated facilities, parks, buildings, and parking lots that support public programs and services.
Using the collected data, the consultant will prepare a written Transition Plan that offers a systematic and budget-conscious timeline for correcting deficiencies. This professional services contract is anticipated to have a one-year duration.
