A government authority in Alhambra, California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive engineering design and support services focused on dam safety. The scope includes dam safety investigations, instrumentation and monitoring recommendations, seismic evaluations, special inspections, design services, and services during construction. Additional responsibilities encompass federal regulatory compliance, probable failure mode analysis, risk-informed decision-making, and the preparation of emergency action plans.
Firms should have demonstrated expertise in dam safety engineering, investigation, analysis, instrumentation, and the design of dams and related infrastructure such as inlet/outlet works and control and power systems. Personnel must utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting dam sites, including close-toed, non-slip footwear, high-visibility safety vests, and hard hats.
