A government authority in Trenton, NJ is seeking engineering and architectural firms with expertise in historic preservation to support the rehabilitation of a courthouse and annex. Qualified firms will assess the current structural and architectural conditions of both buildings, identify necessary repairs, and document existing historic features alongside prior repair interventions. The project requires developing a comprehensive preservation plan, including design development and management of the first stage of construction.
Firms will be responsible for conducting a detailed structural evaluation and preparing a phased rehabilitation implementation plan, complete with cost estimates. Deliverables will include thorough reports with photographic documentation of current conditions, and recommendations that adhere to local, state, and federal historic preservation standards to preserve the buildings’ eligibility for historic designation.
