The selected vendor will provide software and associated IT services to automate the billing, processing, and collection of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fees and data.
Key responsibilities include supplying and implementing the EMS billing collection software, delivering thorough training, and offering secure hosting options. The solution must support invoicing, categorizing, recording, monitoring, supervising, and managing all aspects of the EMS cost recovery program. Accurate and timely billing services, as well as the capacity to comply with the Medicare ambulance fee schedule, are essential.
Vendors must demonstrate a clear data recovery project plan to ensure business continuity during disasters or unexpected downtime. The technical proposal should detail the information technology employed, covering hardware, software, database, security, and network infrastructure. Integration with an automated export process for the ePCR software, secure handling of credit card and electronic payments, industry-standard security measures, and data backup capabilities are required.
