DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Florida is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive employee benefits consulting services. The selected consultant will analyze the county’s current group benefit program for employees, dependents, and retirees, provide alternatives, and recommend cost-saving strategies to both the county and its covered members. Responsibilities include advising on trends among providers, local public sector entities, and legislative changes impacting group benefit programs.

The consultant will assist the county in maximizing benefits while containing costs through ongoing reviews and analysis of benefit plans and available options. Other duties include providing detailed analyses of renewal proposals from the current benefits plan provider, reviewing additional cost-saving plan alternatives, creating funding options, and evaluating the renewal of the current program based on past performance. Additionally, the consultant will support budget projections for future benefit program costs, contribute to determining contribution structures for the county and all participants, and offer plan and claim forecasts for all health or wellness-related expenses. The role also involves developing and recommending cost-saving measures critical for the future performance of the benefit plans.
