DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Saskatchewan is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive employee benefits consulting services. The selected consultant will support the agency's employee extended health benefits program through tasks such as reviewing and evaluating carrier projections, recommending renewal alternatives, and negotiating rates with carriers.
Additional responsibilities include conducting annual reviews and reports on premiums, claims, reserves, interest credits, and insurer expense charges, as well as compiling abbreviated quarterly progress reports. The consultant is also expected to advise on strategic planning, assist in developing both short- and long-term marketing strategies for financial sustainability, and provide guidance in resolving contentious claims.
Value-added services such as employee education materials, benchmarking reports, wellness program support, communication tools, or other resources to improve program effectiveness and understanding may be required. The contract period will be for five years.
